Where Board Games Come Home

Welcome To The Dwelling

Somewhere between a game night and a fairy tale, there is a house. The lamps are lit, the table is cleared, and something is already half-set-up on it. Cards fanned, a few chits spilled, a rulebook propped open to the one page nobody reads until the argument starts.

That’s the Dwelling. We built it because we wanted a place where board games are treated the way we actually feel about them: as small, strange, worthwhile worlds you get to live in for an hour or two. Not content. Not product. Homes you visit.

We’re Board Game Dwelling! A husband-and-wife outfit with a blog, a YouTube channel, a podcast that is perpetually “almost ready,” two newsletters, and an original fairy tale game we’re building the slow way, on purpose. Pull up a chair. Mind the sticky hands.

WHO LIVES HERE

Micah the wry one...

Micah does most of the talking, which you may have already surmised. He’s responsible for the sardonic streak, the fairy-tale detours, and the stubborn conviction that a board game blog is allowed to have a point of view.

Designing the digital aspects of The Dweller’s Post and website.

He’s been making things on the internet for a long time podcasts, blogs, one memorable Kickstarter he’d prefer to tell you about himself and has finally pointed all of it at a single dwelling.

Andrea the reason it all works...

Andrea is the reason any of it functions. She’s the co-designer, the first playtester, and the warm, logical counterweight to Micah’s habit of chasing a whimsical thought straight off a cliff.

In charge of all artistic aspects of The Dweller’s Post and game themes.

When a rule is broken, she finds it. When an idea is good, she says so plainly. When an idea is bad, she says that plainly too. A service Micah could not do without.

Together we design games, stories, letters, artwork, and board game goodness…

Together we make the sort of thing two people make when they like each other, like games, and can’t quite tell where one ends and the other begins.
